Richard Kevin Purcell was given a veteran form from his brother,
Edward Joseph Purcell.

Richard K. Purcell attended Fairmount School until the third grade and then went to Catholic Schools until graduation. He lived in Hackensack until he was 22 years old. Richard K. Purcell served in the Marines from June 7,
1966 until June 7, 1968. 

Richard rose to the rank of Corporal E4.  Richard K. Purcell states he received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal.  He also was considered a Rifle expert.

Richard Kevin Purcell states in a letter that he is very proud of his family because they have served the United States going all the way back to the Revolutionary War and Civil War.
